Vichy Dermablend Foundation Review

First of all guys I'm just going to apologise for not posting in Christ knows how long, things got very busy over the summer but now we're back along with a revamp on the blog!

Today I'm going to be telling you about my new favourite foundation, from the first time I tried it I knew I would be repurchasing! I hadn't ever heard of 'Vichy' until I was watching a ladies makeup tutorial where she was raving about this product, she went on talking about how it was also meant to cover tattoos and of course this caught my attention straight away! I thought if a foundation like this can cover tattoo's its high coverage enough to erase my dark circles, perfect!

I cant even begin to explain how excited I was when I received this little beauty in the post, the packaging is sleek and professional and although it may seem rather small for a 30ml bottle of foundation it sure as hell goes a long way! I got it in the shade '05 Porcelain' because being a milk bottle from the UK that I am, I need a foundation that is just as pale as me! It has a thick consistency but nowhere near cakey, it blends out perfectly with minimal effort (I use Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge) and dries to a near matte. Not the kind of matte where if you put a product on top of your foundation it turns into the biggest patch mess you've ever seen, but the kind of matte that doesn't dry out your skin, is perfectly blended and covers imperfections all at the same time.

This will probably be my favourite foundation for a life time! I have never used a foundation that has had such good coverage without being cakey, I've just completely fallen in love with it. I had countless compliments about this over the summer, I even wrote out a list of products for a customer at work!

All in all I couldn't recommend this product enough, I just think everyone needs to try this at least once in their lifetime and if they don't love it ill eat my words! There are many websites that sell this foundation but if you wanna have a little browse feel free to go on their website here.

My Perfect Nude Lip Alternative

Gals, I have some terrible news...My Sleek Matte Me lipstick ran out and it was my favourite nude lipstick ever! It was the shade 'Birthday Suit' and for now I have to say farewell. (Until I get another one) But it's not all doom and gloom because I am going to be telling you all about my second favourite, my 'backup nude' if you like!

If you know me then you know I have a love for all things nude! Nude lipstick, nude nails, nude clothing, nude life! Okay maybe not nude life, apparently it's not socially acceptable to parade around nude all day...But anyway! This gal loves her nude lippy and the fact my favourite one ran out made me so sad! But not to worry because my 'Maybelline Creamy Mattes' lipstick was there to save the day!

I actually forgot how nice this lipstick was since I have been wearing my 'Sleek' lipstick nearly every time I've done my face! As the name gives away, the new 'Maybelline Colour Sensational Mattes' are in fact 'Creamy Mattes' and I fell in love as soon as I first put this on my lips! It made a nice change to come back to my 'Creamy Matte' because they keep your lips moisturised and don't dry them out unlike my 'Sleek' lipstick does if you reapply it. It also made a nice change to go back to a paler lipstick, I prefer darker nudes but I felt like it made my makeup look a bit more natural than it usually does and I quite liked it!

My 'Sleek Matte Me' lipstick is my favourite because it is a darker nude and it's long lasting, even sometimes after eating and drinking it's still going strong! It isn't tacky or sticky and dries quickly to a comfortable matte on your lips. Unless you reapply quite a few times then obviously your lips will become very dry! You also don't need alot, the slightest bit of lipstick on your applicator goes a long way with this product and I love it!

I'm not saying my 'Creamy Matte' is my second favourite because it is a bad product because it is anything but! Yes it comes off easier but it's such a nice pale nude that to be honest, you barely notice! I forget I even have a matte lipstick on when I wear it because it's so light and moisturising! I must say, while typing this I've realised the 'Sleek Matte Me' lipstick is really only my favourite because it lasts longer and is a darker matte!

I absolutely love both of these lipsticks but lets be honest. It's me, I love every lipstick! I would definitely recommend both of these products to every gal who loves her nude lippies! Makeover Monday - Mum's Birthday Look

My mum has been waiting for me to do her makeup for so long but I'm so used to doing my sisters face she has become my near on permanent dummy! But on Friday it was my mums bithday so after she opened her presents I decided to do her hair and makeup then take her out for lunch. (I know I'm adorable) I don't usually do my mums makeup to this extent, I usually keep it at the foundation with a little bit of bronzer, eyeshadow and mascara but this time I thought nah. We're going all out here mam!

1. Makeup Base
My mum actually went and moisturised before she came downstairs for me to do her makeup so I can't actually say what we used as a primer this time! Firstly I used my 'Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation' and applied it to her face using my damp beauty blender.

My mum has really fair hair on her eyebrows like me, but I am used to filling in my eyebrows quite dark and I didn't want to overwhelm her! So instead of my usual brow kit I actually took my eyebrow brush and used the shade 'Caffeine Fix' from my 'Fortune Favours The Brave Palette' and lightly filled in her brows. I was actually quite surprised how well this worked! You can slightly see them in the second picture as her full fringe covers them.

After finishing her brows I took my 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealers' and using the shade 'Light' applied her highlight in an upside down triangle under her eyes, a little above her brows, down the bridge of her nose, and some on her upper lip & chin. I then made sure it was all blended in with my beauty blender. Once her highlight was done I took the same brand concealer in the shade 'Dark' and applied her contour just under her cheekbones, along her forehead and down the sides of her nose before blending them out so there were no harsh lines.

2. Set Your Face
The same as always with me, I took my trusty 'Johnson's Baby Powder' and applied it to her highlighted areas using a fluffy face brush. After doing this I took my 'Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit' and blended it in with her contoured areas with a contouring brush. I usually apply a little bit of blusher but lately I haven't been wearing it as much because I felt like it was taking the definition away from my contouring so I left it out on my mums makeup aswell.

3. Eyes
To prime her eyes I used my 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' and applied it to her eyelids up to her brows. After doing this I took the shade 'Cashmere' from the 'Fortune Favours The Brave Palette' and applied it to the crease of her eyes, I then took the shade 'Caffeine Fix' and started to build up the colour in the outer corners of her eyes.

Once I had done this I took the shade 'Super Gold' from the same palette and applied it to her eyelids. I then used the shade 'New World' at the inner corners of her eyes for a highlight. After her eyeshadow was complete I applied my 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' to her top and bottom lashes before applying her natural looking false lashes.

4. Finishing Touches
To finish the look I took my 'Vivid Baked Highlighter' in the shade 'Peach Lights' and applied it to her cheekbones and down the bridge of her nose with a highlighting brush. My mum has quite thin lips so I thought I would try to make them look a bit more plumped by using the 'Rimmel London Lip Conour Pencil' to line her lips and then applied 'Rimmel London's Oh My Gloss' lipgloss in clear.

And there we have it! I was really pleased with how her makeup turned out because as I said, I hadn't done it to this extent before! I am actually going to add a before and after picture below because I thought it was such a dramatic difference!

RIGHT?! I also love how her eyes just 'popped'! They looked so bright once I was finished I don't even know what I did to make them look this blue! She will probably kill me once she finds out there is a before picture on here but I felt like it needed to be done! I'll be linking the products I used below so be sure to go check them out!

Fullips Lip Enhancer Review

I've had my lip enhancer for quite a while now and I must admit before I got it I was quite scared about using it after watching all of these 'Kylie Lip Challenge Fails'. Now however, I don't know where I would be without it!

I think the sizes you can get are 'Large Round, Meduim Oval & Small Oval', the size I have is 'Large Round'. My lips aren't really small but I wouldn't say they're really big either, they are kind of in the middle. I love the idea of having big juicy lips but having injections in my face isn't for me! So since I am too scared of being stabbed in the lips I thought I would try the 'Fullips Lip Enhancers' and I must say they do the job! I have seen better results with the 'Meduim Oval' and the 'Small Oval' but the size I use does definitely work.

For those of you who don't know, you use the enhancers by having slightly wet lips and you just literally pop them into the enhancer and suck. It sounds quite strange I know but there isn't really another way to describe it! You do this for about 15-30 seconds to start with and repeat. Keep checking until you have your lips plumped to how you would like and you're done!

I must admit, it doesn't last very long...A few hours tops I would say but it makes me feel a bit better either way! The 'Large Round' size doesn't pump your lips a hell of a lot like the smaller ovals do but I like the size it plumps mine to so if you were debating trying these I would recommend it!

I got mine for like £3 off Ebay and it is a legitimate Fullips enhancer! So if you fancy trying these out I would say definitely check them out on Ebay and see if you like them. I absolutely love mine but I wouldn't recommend doing the sucking action really hard because I done it when I was in a hurry and ended up bruising my lips! So definitely be careful when using these because if you do it wrong it will more than likely hurt you!

I hope this helped any of you ladies debating using these, I would definitely recommend them but please be careful with them! Don't wanna be walking around with bruised lips gals!

My Everyday Hair

I am having a bit of a writers block lately so I'm sorry I haven't been as active as I usually am, it's been a mix between temporary work, interviews, organising things for my mums birthday and more interviews so it's all been a bit hectic! I'm sorry for how late I am posting today, I kind of threw this post together with a few examples of my everyday hair styles because the second and third pictures are the styles I get most comments on so I thought why not!

The first picture is how I have my hair most of the time because I am super lazy and can't be bothered to do anything with it! I just literally use my heat protecting spray, straighten it and be done with it, I don't think hair partings really suit me so I usually end up flicking my hair back out of my face and just being done with it! Lazy girl problems!

Although I like just leaving my hair all down, there is so much of it that it's just always in my face! As you can imagine I end up flicking my hair out of my face with my hands about 100 times a day and this is what makes my hair end up getting oily rather quickly even on freshly cleaned hair, ugh! But don't worry my hair isn't an oil slick by the end of the day, I can just notice the slightest difference very quickly, probably because I am such a perfectionist.

I normally wear my hair like in the second picture on 2nd day hair, usually because I am already annoyed with it from the day before! But since I prefer to wear my hair down I take the section of hair just above my temples and tie it up, kind of like your average half up half down. I am not a massive fan of how it sits flat on my head once I've done this and since my hair isn't overly thick it doesn't sit very high. So what I do is take a bobby pin, flick my somewhat pony tail forward and slip the bobby pin through the hair band. What this does is make your 'pony' sit higher, while also giving you the appearance of super long hair!

I find it sort of looks like a pineapple but I am not ashamed to say I love it, I just think it's a really cute way to keep your hair off your face. I also pull my hair out a bit at the front to make it a bit messier and so it looks like it has more volume! Neat hair has never really been for me, it's either messy or nothing!

I love wearing my hair in two french braids as shown in the third picture, I am so happy they have come back in! At first I wasn't really sure about the hairstyle on me because if you don't already know, I really don't like my ears! But I'm not as self concious as I used to be and I wear my hair up a lot more now so yay for that! I can't actually do this hairstyle on myself so I always get my sister, the Queen of french braids to do it for me! I think it's such a cute way to wear your hair and I think I will be nagging my sister a hell of a lot to be doing it for me this summer!

Again, I always end up pulling at the braids and my baby hairs to make it look messier because it's just my personal preference. I think the only downside to this hairstyle is it makes my hair look a bit shorter, I don't really mind it but I thought I would add that in! I have had multiple compliments when I have worn my hair like this and again I think it's a cute way to get your hair off your face and neck this summer!

Makeover Monday - Bronzed

I wasn't really sure on a name for this look so since there are quite a few brown and gold tones I decided to go with bronzed! When I started my sisters makeup this day there wasn't a specific direction I was going with it, I was mostly playing around with the 'Fortune Favours The Brave' palette! But nonetheless lets get started...

1. Makeup Base
First I applied 'NYC's Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer' and gently smoothed it all over her face. After priming I took my damp beauty blender and applied her 'Rimmel Match Perfection' foundation in the shade 'True Ivory' to her face. Once this was done I went ahead and filled in her brows using 'Makeup Revolution's Focus & Fix Brow Kit' in 'Dark'.

For her highlight and contour I used 'Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealers'. First I took the lightest concealer in the shade 'Fair' and applied an upside down triangular shape under her eyes, a little above her brows, down the bridge of her nose, above her lip and on her chin. I then blended it all out with a beauty blender. After the highlight was finished I used the darkest shade called 'Dark' and applied it just under her cheekbones, down the sides of her nose and to the top of her forehead, after this I blended it all out again.

2. Set Your Face
To set her face I went and took my trusty baby powder and applied it to her highlighted areas using a fluffy face brush. Once I finished this I used the 'Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit' to blend and define her contoured areas. I also added a little bit of blusher named 'Sugar' by 'Makeup Revolution' to the apples of her cheeks.

3. Eyes
First for her eyes I used the 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' and applied it on her eyelid up to her brows. After priming her eyes I took the shade 'Cashmere' from the 'Fortune Favours The Brave' eyeshadow palette and applied it to the crease of her eyelid. After this I took the shade 'Caffeine Fix' and started to build up the colour in the outer corners of her eyes.

Once I was finished blending I took the shade 'Super Gold' and applied it to her eyelids, after doing this I used the shade 'New World' on the inner corners of her eyes for a highlight. Once her eyeshadow was finished I used the 'Makeup Revolution Double Flick Thick & Thin' eyeliner and applied it to her upper lashline. Once this was finished we applied the 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' to her upper and lower lashes before putting on her false eyelashes.

4. Finishing Touches
To finish the look I took the 'Makeup Revolution Peach Lights Highlighter' and applied to to her cheekbones and down the bridge of her nose using a highlighter brush then applied my favourite 'Sleek Matte Me' lipstick in 'Birthday Suit' to her lips.

And there we have it! Like I said on the first 'Makeover Monday' I'm not going to sit here and say they're the best makeup looks you'll ever see because they are far from it buuuuut its fun to have a little practice!

Collection - Lasting Perfection Concealer Review

Firstly, let me just apologise for how inactive I have been this week but don't worry I haven't forgotten about you guys! I'm going to be telling you about my all time favourite concealers! They're by 'Collection' and yes they're a cheaper makeup brand but don't let that fool you because they have seriously upped their game!

I have not looked back since I started using these to contour and highlight because I just love them so much! They're creamy, super blendable, high coverage and they're only £4.20 each?! What I would say is don't wait to blend them in, do it straight away because once they're dry they're not budging! But then again it does say 16 hour wear! I honestly get so carried away with these concealers if I could get a whole bottle on my face I probably would...Anyway, the shades I get are called 'Fair' and 'Dark' and the applicator makes it really easy to apply your highlight and contour neatly and evenly.

What I like about the dark shade is that it's not too dark but not too light for your contouring so even if you do think its too light, once you've got your bronzer on top it brings it all together. All I can really say is these concealers are seriously underrated and I feel like everyone needs to try them and see how they get on! The first time I tried these I was so amazed, I can't stress enough how good they are! They also have 'Lasting Perfection' foundations aswell which I cannot wait to try!

Requested - How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

My friend recently asked me how I wash my makeup brushes so I thought instead of trying to explain it through messaging, I would make a post for her including step by step pictures and a video to help her and any other ladies who have been wondering how to clean their brushes! First we'll start with what you'll need!

Things You Need

1. Washing up liquid

2. Vegetable oil

3. Water

4. Bowl

Making The Mixture

First you're going to put whichever washing up liquid you've chosen into a bowl. There's not a specific amount that you should or shouldn't put in, it's just your personal preference. Either way, this is what will make your brushes squeaky clean!

Once you've decided how much washing up liquid you'll like in your bowl, you then add in a tad of vegetable oil. The vegetable oil is what makes your brushes super soft and the one I used has 'Lemon & Dill' in so it makes them smell sooo nice!

After you've finished the washing up liquid and the vegetable oil you're then going to add in just a tiny splash of water. This is just what brings it all together and makes it easier to clean the brushes.

Cleaning The Brushes

Now onto the fun part, the actual cleaning of the brushes! The picture to the left is one of my brushes before it was cleaned so you can see the makeup that is on the bristles. I know, it looks super dirty! But not to worry because we're going to sort it!

So as you can see by the video it's super simple! You just pop your damp brush in the mixture and using a swirling motion on the palm of your hand, clean the makeup from your brushes! What I like about this is you can actually see the makeup coming out of your brushes and know from the 'froth' that they're getting thoroughly cleaned!

This is my makeup brush after I used the mixture to clean it and as you can see, all the leftover makeup has been removed! After this I went ahead and done the rest of my brushes that needed cleaning.

Leave Them To Dry

Once you've finished cleaning your brushes, do the same swirling motion you did on your hand onto a towel to get the excess water out. After this, smooth out the bristles and leave them to dry on a flat surface with the ends hanging off. This helps them dry back into their original shape.

And there you have it! I hope this helped you ladies who didn't know a way of washing your makeup brushes! The items I use make them clean, super soft, smelling lush and you can get the items used from any shop! I'm glad this was requested as my brushes needed a good scrub! Makeover Monday - Rose Gold

It's that time of the week again! Granted, Monday isn't everyone's favourite day but hopefully 'Makeover Monday' will brighten it up for you!

It won't always be me doing makeup on myself, some will be on my sister (above), my mum or anyone else who fancies me attacking their face with makeup! *evil laugh* So lets get started!...

1. Makeup Base
First of all I took 'NYC's Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer' and gently applied it all over her face. It's really important to gently apply your primer because if you're too rough you may disrupt dead skin cells which will prevent you from getting a smooth finish, this is why it's a good idea to exfoliate beforehand also!

After priming I took my damp beauty blender and applied her 'Rimmel Match Perfection' foundation in the shade 'True Ivory' to her face. Once this was done I went ahead and filled in her brows using 'Makeup Revolution's Focus & Fix Brow Kit' in 'Dark'. Once her brows were finished I moved onto her highlight and contour, to do this I used 'Makeup Revolution's Ultra Cream Contour Palette'.

First I used the lightest shade and applied an upside down triangular shape under her eyes, a little above her brows, down the bridge of her nose, above her lip and on her chin. I then blended it all out with a beauty blender. After the highlight was finished I used the darkest shade and applied it just under her cheekbones, down the sides of her nose and to the top of her forehead, after this I blended it all out again. What I do after contouring is I take the lightest shade I used for highlighting again and apply it under the contour below the cheekbones which keeps it looking sharp!

2. Set Your Face
After finishing the base of her makeup I went ahead and 'baked' her face. To do this I took a small triangular sponge, dipped it in baby powder and applied it everywhere I used the light concealer to highlight. When 'baking' you leave it to set your face for a few minutes so while that was happening I used 'Makeup Revolution's Ultra Bronze, Shimmer and Highlight' to set the contour on her face. After doing this I brushed off the excess baby powder before moving to her eyes.

3. Eyes
First for her eyes I used the 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' and applied it on her eyelid up to her brows. I then used a fluffy eyeshadow brush and taking the 7th shade in the 'Makeup Revolution Iconic 3' palette I applied it to her eyelid crease. After blending it out I took the 10th shade from the same palette and started building up the darker shade. Once I had done this I used 'Makeup Revolution's Rose Gold Eye Foil' and applied it to her eyelid, after doing this we used the 'Makeup Revolution Double Flick Thick & Thin' eyeliner and applied it to her upper lashline. Once this was finished we applied the 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' to her upper and lower lashes before putting on her false eyelashes.

4. Finishing Touches
To finish the look I took the 'Makeup Revolution Peach Lights Highlighter' and applied to to her cheekbones and down the bridge of her nose using a highlighter brush.

And there we have it! I actually done her makeup in the picture above on Christmas day but it's still one of my favourie looks I've done on my sister! I hope you guys like it! I'll link where you can get the products I used below so you guys can check them out!

Requested - Baking Your Face?!

They're trying to drive us insane aren't they? First there was the highlighting and contouring, the strobing and now baking?! A girl can hardly keep up! But don't worry yourselves my lovelies we're not about to be shoving our faces in the oven! In fact it is a lot easier than you think!

The picture above isn't from today like the others will be, simply because I couldn't get as good of a picture! The picture above is from quite a while ago when I was talking my sister through it! I can't actually believe I'm posting my face this bare for everyone to see (yes this is bare to me) and please excuse the fact I just got out of bed! Anyway it's all good lets get down to business!

1. Triangular Sponge

First things first, you'll need one of these little triangular sponges. They're super cheap and you can get a big packet of them for like £1?!

2. Dunk'a Dunk!

A strange heading I know but we're gonna 'dunk' the sponge into the translucent powder. Not too much!

3. Bake Your Highlight

After getting some powder on your sponge you're going to apply it to where you have applied your highlighter and let it sit for a few minutes! I like to apply my powder then go ahead and finish my contouring while it's 'baking'.

4. Brush Off The Excess

After brushing off the excess you're all done! You can leave your face to bake for 5-10 minutes if you want it left for longer but I just brush off the excess powder after finishing my contouring!

And that's it! You can now go ahead and finish the rest of your makeup! The lady who requested this asked if my makeup went 'flaky' after baking my face and incase anyone else was wondering no mine doesn't. I have only ever used baby powder (that I used today) or 'Ben Nye' banana powder to bake and neither have gone flaky so if you haven't tried either of these I would recommend it!

I hope this helped you ladies who were a bit thrown back by the whole 'baking' fiasco, I know I was! But it really is super simple it's just the thought of it that's a bit daunting! One thing that is fabulous about baking and using the triangular sponge is you can get that nice sharp contour line that you cant get just applying powder with a brush!

Translucent Powder Alternative

Some of you ladies may have already heard of this alternative but for those of you who don't know, I hope this helps you!

The trusty translucent powder, where would we be without it? Translucent powder has become more popular since contouring and highlighting has turned into a MUST on our daily makeup routines. We don't really want these coloured powders to set our faces anymore, we want to set our highlight without it being turned a different colour! This is where translucent powders have become our best friends, they don't make the highlight darker and they set your makeup perfectly!

There are many different makes of translucent powders but I'm using 'MAC' as an example. Yes, yes I know 'MAC' are fabulous but do we really need to be spending £20.50 on a 8g pot when we can use an alternative that does exactly the same thing costing £1.10 for 200g? I know which one I'd rather do!

I started using baby powder to set my highlight quite a while ago, I mostly use it when I use oil based products for my primer because in my experience baby powder has kept my makeup matte for longer when I use this! Since I have rather oily skin this is perfect for me and I love the matte look! Maybe its just my inner little bargain hunter speaking when I say there really is no necessity to be spending £22.50 on an 8g pot? Make it 150g and I might think about it!

It only popped to my head to post about this today when I was thinking of all the people who don't know that you can use baby powder to set your face! I absolutely love using baby powder, it leaves your makeup extra matte, prevents your skin from getting oily, makes your face super smooth & soft and you can get scented ones too! What's better than having a face as soft as a babies bum and that smells amazing too?!

It's so easy to do, you just dip whatever makeup brush you would like to use into the powder. Tap off the excess and gently dab onto your highlighted areas. It's that simple!

I hope you guys like the sound of this more affordable translucent powder! You can buy baby powder from nearly every store and supermarket so be sure to give it a try and let me know how it goes for you!

Collection - Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit Review

I really do have to give 'Collection' my praises because they really have upped their game! Usually when I think of 'Collection' I think of my 12/13 year old self only just really starting out with makeup and it was very rarely anything more than mascara! Back when 'Collection' and 'Miss Sporty' were your go to brands because they were cheaper! But lets be honest they weren't very good...Now though, 'Collection' have changed dramatically!

I remember their foundations either being too orange or too dark but hey you used them anyway because you thought it looked good! And after about an hour they went patchy as hell but you didn't think anything of it...Oh how lovely. But recently I have read countless positive reviews on their 'Lasting Perfection' and 'Illuminating' foundations which I will be trying! But for now I'm going to be doing a review on this countour kit of theirs I got for a £2.98 bargain!

Originally I was looking for a nice matte bronzer that wasn't too dark but not too light just because I fancied a change from my shimmery bronzer. That's when I saw this and once again it was because I thought the packaging was quite cute. It has a really nice highlighter (the picture doesn't do it justice) and the shade of the bronzer is perfect for me.

I was quite sceptical because I hadn't used 'Collection' in a good few years but I must say I wasn't disappointed! The powder is a very nice texture and blends nice and evenly. I do recommend using very little at first and start to build it up to how dark you want it because there is no going back once you've put loads on your face! What's strange when you're blending in this bronzer is it kind of has a mouse foundation feel to it? Not in a bad way because that's probably what makes it super blendable but it was a nice surprise!

All in all I would definitely recommend this product, it is such good value for money and it does the job! Lets be honest, a good contour kit for £2.98? You can't really go wrong there! I got mine from 'Asda' where it was £2.98 but you can also get this from 'Superdrug' where it costs a tad more but it's still not bad at £4.19!

Primark £1 False Nails Review

I've mentioned 'Primark' once or twice in my posts but I don't think you guys understand my love! What bargain hunter isn't tempted by a bit of 'Primark' ay? Yeah they sell cute clothes but their little items of makeup, jewellery, hair accessories etc are my favourite because they make them so adorable! I could go on and on about their cute necklaces, belts & handbags but we are here to talk about their 'False Nails'.

For the ladies who are too lazy to go get their nails done or get frustrated with them when they do get them done, I feel y'all! I absolutely love acrylic nails but I just hate fighting with them when I try to get my false lashes on! I wasn't really down with the whole stick on nails when my sister first mentioned it to me because the first thing that came to mind was "Tacky cheap nails & tacky glue, nope." but I very quickly ate my words because now I'm in love with them and what's better is you can take them off whenever you like!

My favourite place to go when I fancy some cute nails is 'Primark'. I know some people might be thinking 'Cheap skate!' but don't be fooled just because they cost £1. They are super cute and have loads of different designs each with their own patterns. Below are a couple from their website.

What I like about these nails is they aren't horribly thick and chunky, they are nice and thin and there are enough sizes in every pack to fit perfectly on every nail size! I wouldn't recommend using the nail glue which comes with them because they come off very easily with that particular glue. Instead I got a cheap brush on nail glue from 'Savers' which works perfectly and keeps them on for days if you don't go out of your way to get them off!

I usually put these on when I'm going on a night out or for a special occasion because they do look just like acrylics but without all the hassle of booking in to get them done and without the price tag! Win-win I'd say! The first picture is of them on me and I think these are my favourite ones because when it comes to a stiletto, nude nail I'm there!

So if you want a cheaper alternative to having cute nails without spending £30 or just want the nails but want to be able to take them off when you want, I would definitely recommend these! I know not everyone has a 'Primark' near them but there are many other places that sell them, for example 'Claires'.

I hope this helped all the gals who are debating trying false nails but aren't really sure! They are only £1 for a pack of 24 (sometimes more!) from 'Primark' so be sure to check them out!

Makeover Monday - Subtle Vamp

Here we are, the very first Makeover Monday! I'm not going to lie and say they are going to be the most amazing makeup looks you've ever seen but I thought it would be fun to share with you guys my little creations. Either way I hope you like them!

I use the same products for my base every time I do my makeup so I'm sorry if the beginning of my Makeover Monday posts get a bit repetitive!

1. Makeup Base
First I primed my face, on this look I used 'Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer', I then dampened my beauty blender and applied my 'Maybelline Fit Me Foundation' to my face & neck in the shade 'Classic Ivory'. After doing this I filled in my brows using the 'Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Brow Kit' in 'Dark'.

After finishing my brows I took my 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' in the shade 'Fair' and applied it in an upside down triangle under both eyes, a little on my forehead just above my brows and down the bridge of my nose, this is my highlight. I then blended it all out with my beauty blender and grabbed my other 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' in the shade 'Dark'. This is used for my contour and it has to be blended in rather quickly because it dries very fast! I applied this just below my cheekbones, around the top of my forehead & both sides of my nose, after this we blend making sure there are no harsh lines!

2. Set Your Face
First I set my highlighter, to do this I used the 'MUA Skin Define Hydro Powder' which I applied everywhere I put my light concealer and also down my neck. I then took my 'Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit' and using my contour brush I blended it with my contoured areas. I then applied a tad of my 'Makeup Revolution Blusher' in the shade 'Sugar' to the apples of my cheeks.

3. Eyes
I didn't want to make my eyeshadow too dark so I kept it quite subtle but with vampy colours. Firstly I primed my eyes using my 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' and applied it on my eyelids up to my brows. I then took the shade 'Drama Queen' from my 'Fortune Favours The Brave' eyeshadow palette and blended it into the crease of my eyelid for a slightly darker shadow. Using the same shade and my fluffy eyeshadow brush I added more of the same colour to the outer corners of my eyelids for a slightly more dramatic shade of purple. As I didn't want to keep it too dark I then took the shade 'Favour' which is a pretty pinky/purple colour and applied it to my eyelids and blended it with 'Drama Queen' on the outer corners of my eyes. After doing this I used 'New World' on the inner corners of my eyes for a highlighter. To complete my eyes I applied my 'Makeup Revolution Double Flick Thick & Thin' eyeliner to my upper lash line, added my 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' to my top & bottom lashes before applying my false eyelashes.

4. Finishing Touches
To complete my look I took my 'Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter' in 'Peach Lights' and applied it to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose using my highlighter brush. I then used my 'Fullips Lip Enhancer' in the shape 'Large Round' before applying my 'NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick' in the shade 'Vintage'. I feel like this lipstick completed the 'Vamp Look' because its such a gorgeous, dark shade of purple I am absolutely in love with it! I have also posted a review on the lipstick I used so if you wanted to check that out please feel free!

And that's it! I probably could have made my eyeshadow better but I was in a bit of a rush the day I made this look (I'm sorry!) but I hope you guys like it either way! I'll link below where you can get these products so check them out and tell me what you think!

For The Ladies...

I'm not sure what kind of reaction I'm going to get from this post but I feel like this is important. I recently shared the pictures above on two seperate occasions on Facebook because I think both of these women are absolutely stunning! Now, I know not everyone has the same opinions and I respect that. I was expecting the responses 'Oh she's Beautiful!' or 'Wow I love her makeup!', what I wasn't expecting was to get the response "She looks ******* ridiculous!" on both pictures by two different people.

I also respect that on one of the comments after saying she looks 'ridiculous' the person mentioned "What's wrong with natural beauty?". With that I agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with natural beauty. Not all women like to wear makeup and there is nothing wrong with that at all. But what is wrong is that if the lady in the first picture wasn't wearing dark lipstick nothing would have been said, and if the lady in the second picture wasn't wearing a lot of highlighter nothing would have been said?

It really got to me that these beautiful women were called 'ridiculous' for putting on makeup they wanted to wear and wearing it how THEY wanted to wear it. What some people don't understand is not everyone wears makeup to please other people, not everyone wears makeup to impress some boy. Some women and even men at that, wear makeup just because they God damn want to! Some people wear makeup to feel better with THEMSELVES. Hell, I wear a lot of makeup but I can tell you now I don't wear it for anyone other than myself because I enjoy it and yes it makes me feel good about myself?!

I am not at all saying ladies who don't wear makeup can't feel good about themselves because of course they can! If you like how you are, what you wear, what you put on or don't put on your face then please don't even give a second thought to what anyone else might think because it's nobodies decision but yours.

So if you want to wear that bright lipstick then wear it, if you want your highlighter to be seen by the Gods then cake it on honey and let their negativity rebound off it and hit them in the face! First there was hate towards women who don't wear makeup and now there is hate towards women who do wear makeup and no doubt there will be negativity towards something else soon! But don't stop wearing or doing something you enjoy because of what people might say, man or woman be confident enough to do what you love without worrying what people might say or think of you.

Peacocks Oversized Sunglasses

What's strange about this post is I'm not even sure if I'm telling you about these sunglasses as a review or just because I feel like everyone has to see them. Because EVERYONE has to see them!

So my sister and I were browsing 'Peacocks' the other week when we saw these sunglasses and our reaction to them was "Can you imagine it?" until we put them on...I felt FABULOUS! I've never really worn sunglasses that much and when I have I never went for oversized ones but I love the thick black frames and the pretty pink flowers! I feel like I should be going to have breakfast at Tiffany's with my queen Audrey but since I can't do that a McDonald's breakfast will have to do...

What I love most about these sunglasses is not only do they make you look like a hella sass queen, they're big enough to cover my under eye Prada bags when I go out without makeup on! They are the perfect accessory to sass up any outfit and I think if ever these were to break I'd probably cry. What's even better is I got these babies for £6 and I'm so glad I did like its not healthy how happy these sunglasses make me.

Unfortunately I couldn't find these on the 'Peacocks' website to link for you all but you must have a browse if you have one of their stores near you! I absolutely love these sunglasses and how fab they are!

NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick Review

I have been dying to try 'NYX' and I am happy to say I have now officially experienced their Liquid Suede Lipsticks! 'NYX' is an american makeup brand so it was quite hard for me to find their lipsticks for a reasonable price here in the UK but I was told about an app called 'Depop' which is the BEST place to go for american makeup brands at affordable prices! I bought this off a lady on the app for £5 and I was so excited because it was the exact shade I was looking for which is named 'Vintage'.

I had this on for the whole day yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I've always been more of a matte lip kinda gal but this lipstick is in the middle of not being matte but not gloss either? It is light, comfortable and long lasting which of course you have to love. It's also very pigmented and quite a thin formula so when I first applied this to my lips I was like DAMN. I found that if you apply a thin layer to your lips first then wait a bit and apply another it works best. I reapplied this maybe 2/3 times yesterday and that was only because I was eating and drinking!

I also love that its a gorgeous purple colour, I know some people save the plum & purple lipsticks for autumn but I wear whatever colour when I feel like it! I cropped the picture with me in above because I created a 'Subtle Vamp' look for you yesterday which I'm saving for Monday! But I thought while I was there I'd do a review on this lipstick for you. I really do recommend these lipsticks because they are fabulous! I'm going to be trying their 'Soft Matte' lipsticks soon so when I get my hands on them I will do a review for you guys!

My Everyday Makeup Routine

Okay guys, as promised I am going to be sharing with you my everyday makeup routine! I usually keep my makeup the same but I am going to be starting 'Makeover Monday' where every Monday I will be posting a new makeup look! I have a feeling this post will be rather long so lets get started!...

1. Makeup Base
Before you start your makeup it is so important to use a primer to give your foundation a flawless finish! On this look I used 'Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer', I then dampened my beauty blender and applied my 'Maybelline Fit Me Foundation' to my face & neck in the shade 'Classic Ivory'. After doing this I filled in my brows using the 'Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Brow Kit' in 'Dark'.

After finishing my brows I took my 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' in the shade 'Fair' and applied it in an upside down triangle under both eyes, a little on my forehead just above my brows and down the bridge of my nose, this is my highlight. I then blended it all out with my beauty blender and grabbed my other 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' in the shade 'Dark'. This is used for my contour and it has to be blended in rather quickly because it dries very fast! I applied this just below my cheekbones, around the top of my forehead & both sides of my nose, after this we blend blend blend!

2. Set Your Face
Some people don't like using powders when doing their makeup and just leave it with the foundation but I prefer to set my face and keep it looking matte! To set my highlighter I used the 'MUA Skin Define Hydro Powder' and applied it to the areas where I used my 'Fair' highlighter and also down my neck. To set my contour I grabbed my 'Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit' (which I will be doing a review on soon!) and blended it in the areas where I used my 'Dark' concealer using my contour brush. To finish setting my face I took my 'Makeup Revolution Powder Blusher' in the shade 'Sugar' and applied a small amount to the apples of my cheeks.

3. Eyes
I keep my eyes rather simple with my everyday makeup, first I applied my 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' to my eyelids and up to my brows. I then took the 7th shade in from my 'Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette' (from my last makeup look) and using a fluffy eyeshadow brush I blended it into the creases of my eyes. Also from the same palette I took the 1st shade and applied it under my brows for a defined arch. After this I took a small eyeshadow brush and applied the shade 'Super Gold' from my 'Fortune Favours The Brave Palette' to my eyelids and to my lower lash line, I then took the shade 'New World' and used it as an inner eye highlight. Lastly I took my 'Makeup Revolution Double Flick Thick & Thin' eyeliner and applied it along my upper lash line and added a touch of my 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' to my top and bottom lashes before applying my false eyelashes.

4. Finishing Touches
To finish this look I went ahead and took my 'Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter' in 'Peach Lights' and using a highlighter brush, applied it to the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. After doing this I used my 'Fullips Lip Enhancer' in the shape 'Large Round' to give my lips just that little boost and applied my 'Sleek Makeup Matte Me Liquid Lipstick' in my favourite shade 'Birthday Suit' to finish off my look.

And that's it, my everyday makeup routine! I'm sorry I've posted quite late, today as been rather hectic but I have created a new look for you which will be posted on 'Makeover Monday'! Pale Pinks Summer Makeup Look

I was going to focus on doing one post a day but oh well! I thought I'd share with you all my makeup I done a while ago and it's one of the rare pictures I've managed to take of myself where you can actually see my eyeshadow properly! I loved the pinks I used in this look & its perfect for the summer! I'm going to focus on the products I used on my eyes and lips because I'm going to share with you my everyday makeup routine soon and I use the same products for my base so I'm going to tell you how I got this eye look and what products I used!

After applying the base of my makeup I set my highlighted areas with translucent powder and my contour with bronzer. I then applied an even layer of my 'Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer' to my eyelids and up to my brows. I definitely recommend using an eye primer as it prevents your eyeshadow from creasing and keeps it on all day. I really like the 'Collection' eye primer as it does exactly the same as the high end brands and is only £4.99!

Once I had primed my eyes I took my 'Makeup Revolution Iconic 3' eyeshadow palette (above) which is a dupe for the 'Urban Decay Naked 3' palette and I'm just going to take this moment to praise 'Makeup Revolution' once again! How is it they never disappoint? I've come to the conclusion they must have Gods on hand when making their products! I love that this palette has both shimmery shades as well as mattes and they're so pigmented too! I can't imagine I will ever stop using 'Makeup Revolution' they make such high quality products and the best part? This palette was just £4! HALLELUJAH!!

Anyway back to the look, firstly I took the shade above numbered 7 which is a gorgeous pinky brown and using a fluffy eyeshadow brush I blended it into the crease of my eyelid for a subtle shadow. After doing this on both eyes I took the shade above numbered 2 and using a small eyeshadow brush applied it all over my eyelid. I love wearing these two colours on my eyes, I feel like they blend together really well and create a lovely fresh look. Lastly I applied the shade above numbered 1 to highlight under my eyebrow to define my brow arch.

To finish this look I applied my 'Makeup Revolution Double Flick Thick & Thin' eyeliner along my upper lash line, I love that they made this eyeliner with a thin and thick option it comes in so handy! I then added a touch of my 'Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara' (my favourite mascara EVER) to my top & bottom lashes then applied my falsies. Keeping with the pinks I then applied my 'Makeup Revolution Blusher' in the shade 'Cotton Candy' and as a final touch my 'Sleek Makeup Matte Me' lipstick in the shade 'Birthday Suit'. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

I've been really eager to try this foundation and I'm happy to say I finally have! Which is strange for me because I have used the 'Rimmel London Match Perfection' foundation for so long I've been scared I'd try something else and not like it! There are many pro's about this product and only one tiny con which we will eventually get to but first lets start with the overall look!

Okay so as usual we're going to start with the packaging because you all know how much I love pretty bottles/boxes etc! The bottle design for this foundation is speaking to me on a spiritual level. I just love the simplicity of it, how it looks so sleek and high end, it makes me happy just seeing this on my dressing table! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it had a pump instead of having to pour it onto a beauty blender because I had watched video reviews before purchasing this product and all of them had to pour the product from the bottle to use it. Of course I wasn't going to break the seal in the shop to see so I thought I'd try it regardless and see how it all worked out!

There weren't many shades in the shop I went into which was Tesco (I know, I was in a foundation emergency guys!) so I ended up getting it in the shade '120 Classic Ivory'. Now, when I think of classic ivory I think quite pale, yes? I am sad to say this wasn't the case, I swatched a tiny bit of the product on my wrist while in the shop (again, I know but I was in a rush!) and I thought "Okay, I can work with this" as it was the palest shade they had and it looked a LOT lighter in the bottle. It probably doesn't help that I am the colour of a milk bottle, its a good thing I use very light concealers to highlight when doing my makeup because they really helped die down the foundation colour and the areas left darker helped with my contour so really it didn't turn out so bad! But had I just left it on my skin without my concealer It would have been really dark and quite orangey...Not so attractive.

I am not knocking this product at all because the colour match was my fault entirely! It goes on very smoothly and feels very light on the skin which I really liked. It isn't high coverage but I'm pretty sure this foundation was meant for the more natural look which is nice because that too adds to the lightweight feel. Another thing I love about it is how easy it is to blend! I use a dark concealer for my contour and it is a lot harder to blend on high coverage foundations, but with this one its done and perfectly blended whip dip dash! Its also really easy to get take off with a facial wipe, I know that might sound quite strange to some of you but my 'Rimmel London' foundation was slightly 'tougher' to take off.

All in all the formula of the foundation I absolutely love! I've always gone for thicker foundations to get more coverage so it was a nice change to use a lightweight foundation. It cost £8 so its still a really good drugstore price and we all know how much I love a good bargain! I would definitely recommend this product, what I will add is to make sure you get the perfect shade for you and not make the same mistake I did!
